Description

The two room apartment Jacaranda in Mesa del Mar (Tacoronte) is 30 m² large. It consists of a living room with fitted kitchen (18 m²) a large bedroom (12 m²) with two single beds and a large, sunny, south-west terrace with 40 m². The apartment has been completely renovaded in October 2025.

The accommodation

This exclusive apartment is located in a prime location 330 meters above the Atlantic Ocean. It enjoys sunny weather and mild temperatures all year round. The apartment is a separate granny flat within the residential building. It is accessed via a separate entrance.

The two-room apartment was completely renovated in October 2025. It offers exclusive, cozy, ethno-style accommodation with modern infrastructure, such as 600 Mbit high-speed internet. The subtropical garden is adapted to the landscape and flora of Tenerife. The apartment is named Jacaranda, an ornamental tree popular in Brazil and other tropical areas, which bears purple flowers in June and July.

From the terrace, you can see Spain's highest volcano, Mount Teide, at any time of the day or night. The view stretches along the north coast of Tenerife to the neighboring island of La Palma. At night, the lights of Puerto de la Cruz twinkle in the distance and an impressive starry sky appears. The sunset here is particularly spectacular. 

Access to the beach

You want to swim? Take an 8-minute drive down the winding road to Mesa del Mar. Alternatively, you can take bus 21, which stops nearby. Or you can walk down the mountain in 50 minutes. At the bottom, you can swim year-round in a protected natural pool or in the sea. The black lava beach Playa de Arena is located in a protected cove. Along the sea, a footpath leads to the fishing village of El Pris, where you can eat fresh fish on the promenade next to the sea.

The surrounding area

Tacoronte and its district Mesa del Mar are located in the northeast of Tenerife and can be reached via the highway TF 5 from the airport south in one hour. From here you can reach Puerto de la Cruz as well as the island capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 20 minutes by car. San Cristóbal de La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is only 15 minutes away.

Along the coast you will reach Punta del Hidalgo, the end of the passable roads, where there is a big lighthouse. There already begins a hiking trail that leads to the Anaga Mountains. A great hiking trail leads in 2 hours to the cave village Chinamada. On the way there, impressive views along the wild northeast coast.

On the way back from Punta del Hidalgo to Tacoronte is Bajamar. A small town with large, beautifully renovated natural pools that invite you to swim. If you are drawn to the woods, you can take a walk above Tacoronte into wonderfully fragrant pine forests.
